Shannon & Dan | A Tudor Barn Eltham Wedding

Shannon and Dan celebrated their wedding in South East London, with a traditional church ceremony followed by an afternoon and evening at Tudor Barn in Eltham.

Their ceremony took place at St John Fisher & St Thomas More Church, before everyone made their way to the historic Tudor Barn, tucked away within the gardens of Well Hall Pleasaunce.

The ceremony was an important part of the day for Shannon and Dan, and something they’d been particularly looking forward to.

After the church, the celebrations continued at Tudor Barn, where the afternoon offered time for drinks, photographs and being together before dinner.

Wedding Photography at Tudor Barn, Eltham

Dating back to the 16th century, Tudor Barn is set within beautiful gardens and parkland in Eltham. It’s a wonderful setting for wedding photography, with a lovely contrast between the historic architecture of the barn and the softer, more natural surroundings outside.

The gardens offer plenty of opportunities for portraits, particularly around the fountain, stone steps and bridges.

For me, couple portraits are as much about giving two people a little time together as they are about the photographs themselves. I like to keep things relaxed, allowing space for natural moments rather than overly directed poses.

With dinner, speeches and the first dance all part of the celebrations, the day moved from the more formal moments of the church ceremony into an evening surrounded by family and friends.

It’s this combination that I particularly enjoy photographing: the significant moments alongside the quieter interactions that happen in between.
