Chafford Park Wedding

Chafford Park Wedding

“From first meeting to last click of the camera on our wedding day, it was such a delight to work with Kate. She made the whole experience of having photos taken so fun and easy going. Our couples shoot straight after the ceremony was a truly magical experience and we felt so relaxed the whole time. She was also really helpful in making suggestions about other details around bringing aspects of our wedding into fruition. The photos absolutely speak for themselves – they are a dream come true and we are so happy to have these beautiful keepsakes of a very magical day.” Dougal and Mia

Wedding At Lewes Depot Cinema

“We were so happy to have found Kate! Not only were the photos excellent, her communication, approachability. speed and her handy information plus local knowledge all contributed to helping us have the most wedding special day. We would very much recommend booking Kate :)” A great combination of venues for Ben and Amy. The day threatened heavy downpours but this made the day more magical in someway. The streets and gardens were empty as the dark skies loomed close but the rain stayed away to be able to capture some family shots. Everyone then headed to The Depot Cinema down the road while Ben, Amy and I wandered a few streets for some couple photographs. As soon as we arrived at The Depot the skies opened! I really loved the relaxed approach Ben and Amy took, especially the green foliage they had gathered and used to make the space at The Depot more personal. Oh I and I think the band they had in to play was possible the best wedding band I’ve heard!

Wedding Celebrations in The Grange Gardens

Grange Garden Lewes Wedding

Issy and Stuart made the most of the beautiful Grange Gardens. During their ceremony they had some helpers set up a wonderful buffet table and lay drinks out in the gardens so that when the ceremony finished all the guests had a wonderful ‘garden party’ style offering. The Grange gardens are such a beautiful space and making the most of it after your ceremony is something I encourage. While guests are sipping on drinks it’s a great time to grab family for some group photographs and then afterwards head off around the gardens and explore some twitterns for your couple photographs. I have found that sometimes couples worry about what their guests are going to do while they are having group photographs/couple photographs but if you have nibbles and drinks on offer and a beautiful location you need not worry!

SouthOver Grange Wedding Ft The South Downs

East Sussex Wedding Photographer

I absolutely love being asked to photograph both wedding days. It gives me the chance to be really creative and also get to know the couple really well. Abi & Lawrence’s first part was the legal bit. They decided to tie the knot at SouthOver Grange Registry Office midweek.

How to nail the group photos

I’m going to admit it, group photo’s aren’t my favourite bit. I love photographing all the fun and natural stuff going on. So… here are a few tips that should help make them as easy going as poss!

Styled Wedding Shoot at Chafford Park

It’s so great to get together a couple of times a year for a styled shoot. It gives everyone involved a chance to test out new products, techniques and styles. It’s also wonderful to get together with other wedding suppliers and chat all things weddings. I LOVE IT.

Dinner at The Grain Store with @Loveinspiredfood

I think The Grain Store on the outskirts of Lewes is just a fabulous place. It transports you to a space of calm as soon as you enter. It is mainly let as a holiday home however, it’s also a brilliant place for styled shoots. I was invited a few months back to photograph a dinner party hosted by Anni Townsend with the food cooked by Sarah, the founder of Loveinspiredfoods. Here’s just a few shots from the evening. P.S The food was so delicious!!!
