Emily & Alex | A Joyful Celebration in Walthamstow

I absolutely loved Alex and Emily’s wedding. I knew from our initial chat that they wanted to make sure to do it their way and not give in to any pressures! And it was exactly that, they got married in the Engine House at Walthamstow Wetlands which is a s super cool venue. They decorated it with flowers from tomatoes cans they have salvaged from their local restaurant and it looks amazing. They greeted their guests together and the ceremony was fun but moving. After the confetti we went for a walk and found a few idyllic spots for the couple photographs. It was perfect with an overcast sky and autumnal colours – the lighting was unreal! They opted to not do any formal group photographs and so we just did one big group photographs of everyone and then throughout the day I captured some candid photographs of the ‘VIP’s’. Emily and Alex gave each of their closest family member a boutonnière so I knew who to capture. Everyone then headed to the pub and before the meal we nipped to the coffee and doughnut shop across the road for a few extra couple photographs which was so much fun. Later they had BINGO, Colin and Connie Caterpillar as their cakes and they even did a DJ set together. It was epic. I was so pleased to be there to photograph it all!
Kirsty & Hugh | An Elegant Country Wedding

Kirsty and Hugh’s wedding was a day of simple elegance and relaxed charm. Set at Cuckfield Church, followed by a marquee reception in Kirsty’s parents’ garden, it was a celebration full of personal touches. Before the ceremony, I captured smaller family group photos in a relaxed and fun way with each side of the family. Later, we kept formal family shots brief to allow Kirsty and Hugh more time with their guests. After the ceremony, the couple returned to Kirsty’s parents’ house for their portraits, enjoying a quiet moment together in the beautiful garden. As the couple finished their portraits, guests began to arrive at the house, transitioning seamlessly into the marquee reception. The garden provided the perfect backdrop as guests mingled under the September sun, enjoying the warm and inviting atmosphere. To prioritise Kirsty and Hugh’s time with their loved ones, we scheduled photographs during natural pauses in the day. Golden hour provided a few more quiet moments to capture intimate, timeless shots of the couple. My approach to photography was natural and unobtrusive, aligning with Kirsty and Hugh’s focus on spending quality time with their guests. The day unfolded with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and meaningful details, all captured authentically without interrupting the flow of the celebration.
Jess & Matt | Beautiful Gate Street Barn Wedding

Jess and Matt’s wedding at Gate Street Barn was a masterclass in how to throw a day that’s both beautiful and full of personality. From the laughter during the speeches to the golden hour portraits in the garden, the whole day felt effortless! Gate Street Barn is one of those venues that really delivers when it comes to photographs. Jess and Matt made the most of it, starting with a brilliant pre-ceremony moment where they both read notes written on the soles of their shoes. Capturing them in the same shot while they couldn’t see each other was do much fun. The ceremony took place in the barn, which they’d decorated simply but beautifully. Afterward, guests mingled on the lawn while Jess and Matt headed off for photos, including a trip to the woods in Matt’s Land Rover—just as fun as it sounds. Later, during golden hour, we popped out into the gardens for more portraits. The soft evening light, combined with the gardens’ natural beauty, was perfect. I alway encourage couples to nip out in the evening for a little photo session during golden hour, it’s also such a nice chance for a couple to have some time alone. Gate Street is definitely up there with one of my favourite venues this year; a relaxed yet stunning setting, spaces that flow naturally, and plenty of options for photographs in and out.
Sophie & Elliott | Celebration at the Bombay Sapphire Distillery

Sophie and Elliott’s wedding at the Bombay Sapphire Distillery was an incredible mix of elegance and fun, with the distillery’s glasshouses and lush gardens setting the perfect scene. They brought their own twist to the day with thoughtful touches, and their love for a good time was contagious. The karaoke room was a brilliant addition – friends and family wasted no time getting stuck in, with laughter and a few enthusiastic ballads filling the air. Plus, a stack of Krispy Kreme donuts and a pizza van made for a brilliant snack break!. And naturally, Bombay Sapphire gin cocktails were flowing, tying the venue’s charm into their celebration perfectly. It was a joy to capture the warmth and laughter of their day in such a unique setting.

Lizzie & Liam | An Intimate Garden Wedding in Isfield

Lizzie and Liam’s wedding was a beautiful, relaxed affair set in a private garden in Isfield. As a skilled wedding caterer, Lizzie (check out her amazing work at Elizabeth Caton) ensured the day was filled with incredible food. They wanted a laid-back vibe, so we captured a few photos during a short walk around the garden before guests arrived and a few casual group shots later. It was a joyful day that reflected their personalities perfectly.
Lucy & Harry | Joyful Wedding at Hatfield Place

Lucy and Harry’s wedding began with a heartfelt ceremony at their family church, followed by a relaxed, joyful celebration at Hatfield House. With vintage cars, laughter-filled moments, and beautiful gardens, their day was an unforgettable reflection of them.
Lauren & Tom’s | Relaxed Wedding in Salisbury

Lauren and Tom’s wedding was all about keeping things relaxed and full of joy. They chose to say their vows at the Bourne Hill Registry Office in Salisbury—a beautiful, intimate spot that suited their style perfectly where they had bagpipes outside on their arrival. Afterward, we made our way to Pythouse Kitchen & Garden, a stunning setting for their relaxed celebration. Nestled among the greenery, this beautiful spot made for the perfect backdrop as Lauren and Tom shared a meal with their closest family and friends. The atmosphere was warm and laid-back and the gardens were perfect for the group photographs and their couple photographs.
Tim & Marissa | Brighton Wedding at Patterns

Marissa and Tim’s wedding day began with a gentle walk through Preston Park, joined by their two dogs. It was a peaceful start, and a perfect way to capture a few relaxed, candid moments with their dogs in a natural setting. Including pets in the pre-ceremony photos added a personal touch, especially since it can sometimes be tricky to have them at the wedding itself. From there, we headed to Patterns, Brighton, where Marissa and Tim shared a beautiful ceremony officiated by Tim’s brother—a moment that left everyone in tears. This unique Brighton wedding venue provided the perfect backdrop for their day, blending a modern vibe with the city’s lively spirit. Afterward, we took a short walk to Brighton Pier for some fun, relaxed couple photos among the buzz of the city. It was a chance to capture Marissa and Tim in an authentic Brighton setting, surrounded by the life and energy they love. Following a delicious meal and heartfelt speeches, we snuck out for a few quiet moments down one of Brighton’s side streets. I always suggest taking this brief time together after the speeches—it’s a chance to pause, relax, and savour the day before the evening celebrations kick in.
