Iford Village Hall, Wedding

Jess and Conner contacted me in 2022 to say they had booked Iford hall and were in need of a wedding photographer who was relaxed in the same way they envisioned their day.

Jump ahead to 6 weeks before and we met at the venue and had a look around the space. It’s lovely for me to come and meet you at the venue if that’s possible however, it’s not essential. We found some lovely spots which were perfect for their couple shots and just walked through the days timings to check nothing was going to be rushed.

Their wedding day was forecast heavy rain and thunderstorms and it certainly wasn’t wrong. Everyone arrived with umbrellas fully up gathering in Iford village hall before heading down to the marquee where the ceremony was moved to. Jess arrived in the rain but as the music started to play she walked to Conner with not a drop in the air. Great timing.

The ceremony was beautiful and straight afterwards we heading off for some couple photographs down the farm track and into the woods. I left them to make their own way back as everyone lined up for confetti. It was a lovely way to do the confetti as they made their reentrance. We were gone for around 15 minutes which meant that by the time everyone had left the ceremony and grabbed a drink no one noticed Jess and Conner were gone. I find that so many couples hate the idea of being gone for ages from their own wedding day. It is important to have some time together but there is always a good time (usually during the movement of people) where it fits in really well.

The rain stayed away and after a buffet and speeches everyone was enjoying lawn games and sitting in the lovely space they had both created at Iford Hall.
