I absolutely loved photographing this micro wedding at Southover Grange. The couple were later throwing a big party in Derbyshire but wanted to get married legally in Sussex. They knew the Harvey’s needed to be a part of this day and so I suggested wandering up to the Swan after taking the group photographs in the Grange Gardens. The Grange Gardens was quite busy and it was unexpectedly warm and so instead of holding back with the couple and taking some couple photographs around the Twittens and the Grange Gardens we instead walked up with their families to The Swan to have a pause. I then suggested to head towards the South Downs on foot which they were both keen to do. We jumped over a gate and took some final photographs with a lovely backdrop in a field of buttercups before heading back down to the Swan.
If you are getting married at the Grange Gardens, don’t feel that you need to stick to the Gardens for your couples session. Although it is wonderful to wander up Keere Street and up to the castle there are some lovely countryside options available too. Let this be some inspiration for you.
