Hi, I’m Kate! I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in Lewes, East Sussex. My passion for photography is rooted in a love for relationships and storytelling—the little moments that make life super special.
When I was little, I adored spending time in the garden of the orchard where I grew up. I was forever climbing trees and looking out across the neighbour’s gardens and the world beyond. My dad had a darkroom in our first home, where magic happened as I watched him develop photos. He was skilled with the technical aspects of photography and loved teaching me how cameras operated. My mum, my biggest creative inspiration, always had a paintbrush or pen ready, encouraging me to observe and appreciate the beauty around me. These experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for candid moments and the joy of observation.
With a background in photography education – having gained a BA in Photography at Sheffield Hallam and going on to study further at the Bauhaus University in Weimar – I’m confident in my craft. Over time I have gained the skill set needed to capture weddings with ease.

I take a patient and unobtrusive approach, waiting for those special interactions that often go unnoticed. Whether it’s a shared laugh, a fleeting glance, or a quiet moment, I strive to document the little details that may have otherwise been missed.
My goal is to capture moments that bring back the emotions and genuine connections of your day, documenting your true character so that future generations can feel a sense of who you were and the love that filled your life.
When I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy gardening, adventures, and rowing, always keeping a picnic blanket handy in the boot of my car for spontaneous outings.
