There’s something rather lovely about keeping things simple.
Marina and Russ chose Southover Grange in Lewes for their intimate wedding ceremony, with just a small gathering to celebrate with them.
We met before the ceremony for a few photographs, making the most of the surroundings before heading inside.
Afterwards, there was no rush to get anywhere. We took a leisurely walk through Lewes, stopping for photographs along the way, before arriving at the White Hart for a drink.
It’s one of the things I love about photographing smaller weddings. There’s time to wander, to stop when somewhere catches your eye, and to enjoy the day without feeling tied to a schedule.
Southover Grange is such a beautiful setting for a ceremony, right in the heart of Lewes, with its historic building and gardens. And having the town itself just a short walk away makes it particularly lovely for intimate celebrations like this.
After a drink at the White Hart, Marina and Russ headed off to continue their celebrations for the evening.
A simple, relaxed wedding, and a reminder that a day doesn’t need to be elaborate to feel special.
