‘Hello’ phone call

I really wasn’t keen on calling this step a discovery call. It feels too corporate. I’ve gone with a ‘hello’ phone call because although it is a ‘discovery’ call it’s more laid back and a chance for us to both simply say ‘hello’. Why is it important? As you may be able to see from my work, I love to form a connection with my couples, photographing you in an honest, intimate and beautiful way- while still heaving a heap of fun and using a relaxed, candid approach. I’m also here to help you along the way through the planning process, to share ideas with and discuss group photos! How can I book a phone call in? If you haven’t already please enquire through my website and let me know the date of your wedding and any other details. If I am available then I’ll suggest a phone call. I usually catch up with couples on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4pm-8pm. I can be flexible too if these times don’t work. Do I need to have anything prepared? Please use this call to ask me any questions. How I work the group shots? What timings work best with certain types of venues? How I approach the first dance? etc… I will also ask you about what sort of coverage you want and discuss options for this if you need. What happens next? After the phone call I will send you a quote through my booking programme. This will be based on what we discussed. I hope that answers any questions, please feel free to also look at my FAQ’s or send me a direct email at kate@swanson.me
